Hypnobirthing

Find calm and confidence in your birthing experience.

There is no underestimating the power of birth education and equipping you and your birth partner with the tools and techniques for a calm and positive birth experience.

With hypnobirthing, you can remove the fear or anxiety around birth. Hypnobirthing is a generic term that is used to describe the use of hypnotherapy (or self-hypnosis) for birth. It involves various relaxation techniques to help relax your body before and during labour and birth. We know that when you're relaxed during labour, your body more readily produces hormones, such as oxytocin and endorphins. These help your labour progress and can help you to manage the sensations both physically and mentally. This can also reduce the need for medical interventions in some circumstances.

In a hypnobirthing class, you learn how your body works in birth and your practitioner will also provide helpful recommendations for how your birth partner can best support you in labour. You will understand how to trust your body and it's ability to birth your baby. You will be given guidance on what type of questions to ask your care providers so that you can make informed decisions during labour.

Hypnobirthing helps to provide you and your birth partner with a more positive birth experience, no matter what path your birthing journey takes.
